Feeling disconnected from yourself or your relationships?

You might be the one who has always been the observer in your family. The quiet one. The responsible one. The one who notices everything but often feels unseen. Therapy can help you reconnect — while honoring the reflective, independent nature that got you this far.

How therapy helps

A relational, psychodynamic, and somatic approach

Healing happens not only through insight, but in the body — by learning how to feel, regulate, and stay present with yourself in moments of distress. Together we work in three movements.

01

Notice

Slow down and notice where you’ve disconnected from your feelings — in your history, your relationships, and your body’s own signals.

02

Express

Practice expressing your needs and emotions safely, with no judgment and no pressure, until authenticity stops feeling like a risk.

03

Connect

Build trust, closeness, and more satisfying relationships, with greater steadiness in yourself and deeper connection to the people you love.

About Erika

I’ve always been someone who notices patterns

How people relate. How emotions move through the body. How early experiences shape the way we connect. Growing up, I often felt like an observer and something of a black sheep in my own family, which sparked a lifelong curiosity about relationships, belonging, and what helps people feel truly understood.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent a decade as a massage therapist and craniosacral therapist, where I learned firsthand that healing happens in the body, not just through insight. That mind-body thread runs through everything I do today.

  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT #126341
  • Certified Somatic EMDR Practitioner through The Embody Lab
  • M.A. in Clinical Psychology, Antioch University — trauma-informed and depth-oriented training
  • B.A. in Biological Psychology, New College of Florida — mind-body connection and psychoneuroimmunology
  • A decade of somatic bodywork as a massage and craniosacral therapist

How do I get started?

Click the Free Consultation button or reach out by phone or email to schedule a brief call where we can discuss what you’re needing and how we might work together. If it feels like a good fit, I’ll send intake paperwork through a secure portal where you can see your appointments and log in to virtual sessions. Those coming in person get a separate email with directions.

What is the expected commitment?

All sessions are 50 minutes and we meet weekly on an ongoing basis. This is a collaborative process: you have full autonomy to decide when you’ve met your goals, and we assess progress together along the way.

How much is it, and do you take insurance?

Individual and Somatic EMDR sessions are $225; couples sessions are $250. I don’t accept insurance directly, but I can provide a Superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I hold a set number of sliding-scale spots — please ask about availability.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
